More Time Needed
Lynette:
I’m finding myself splitting time between my newfound hobbies and life. In between working on my spring knitting project. I’m knitting the bottom of the bear and I noticed yesterday that as I change colors, the lavender/pink is showing through the purple (just slightly). I’m stranding the colors along the back when I should probably be using bobbins.
I’ve also been working on making jewelry. Here’s my latest piece.
It’s simple enough but has an elegant look to it, I think. I used ribbon instead of wire on this one. I bought more ribbon to make more. They’re very easy. I also spent time making stitch markers, which are a lot of fun. Tonight my time will be divided between working out, knitting and hopefully making another necklace. Oh, let’s not forget, there’s dinner to prepare and quality family time, of course.
I enjoy coming home from work – even when I have to log in to work once I get here. When I walked in the door this evening, there were several packages waiting for me. I ordered warm climate clothes for my trip to Arizona and I also received this.
The nicely wrapped packages include:
1. KnitLit (Too)
2. Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Multi-Benefit Kit
3. True Blue Body Cream
4. True Blue Foot scrub
5. Three (3) Package of stickers (the stickers worked out for everyone)
6. A touching card
Yes, my secret pal has been very, very good to me. Thanks, Secret Pal for thinking about me and my family. It’s deeply appreciated. I will definitely put my aromatherapy gifts to use tonight – especially the lavender vanilla pillow mist. How cool is that! The kit is coming with me on vacation.
The word is getting around about knitting for sure. At our weekly Tuesday meeting at work, there were four new knitters that came out of the closet. The room was filled, which is great. And it was great having Heidi, our guest knitter, join us. Monica and I have to make plans to join her one day.
p.s. Have a great vacation, Monica!
