All Wrong

Oh no! I had to rip out the lacy front of Remembering Honey. You know that feeling you get when you think you’ve made a mistake, but don’t want to acknowledge it. Mary Beth and Stephannie blogged about it recently. Well, I had the feeling and I just kept on knitting. I realized I made a mistake, and I should have stopped then. I think I got caught up in the excitement of watching the Bears attempt to stay afloat in Sunday’s game.

Well, Monica wore Honey to work yesterday, and my fears were confirmed. My bead stitch was ALL WRONG! Instead of mine looking like pseudo-cables as it does in the photo, it has a design all its own. I kept studying Monica’s shoulders where the pattern was. I know I looked weird, Monica. But I needed a reference. Yep, mine’s still wrong. So, at our knitting meeting yesterday, I ripped it back and started again. I guess it was good that I ripped. I got a flu shot and my right arm began stiffening up. So, the movement did me good. I also decided to knit one of the lacy fronts at a time. I’m also knitting with size 7s instead of 5s so my lacy front is more lacy than hers.

It’s much better now. Hopefully I can take a picture of it tomorrow maybe with both sides done.
