Vacation Days
Monica: are coming to an end. It’s almost back to work for me on Tuesday, the 4th. I’m going to miss my days of doing nothing but napping, blogging and knitting. I saw a few movies too–House of Flying Daggers and Sideways. I love me a good martial arts movie and Daggers didn’t disappoint. One of the lead actors is so good-looking that I had to look him up on IMDB when I got home. (He’s the one on the left of the photo.) Sideways was very funny and depressing at the same time. But very realistic. The pace of the movie was good. We were going to try to see The Aviator too but I won’t be able to go today as I have lunch plans and a New Year’s Eve gathering with the family.
I’ve spent the past few days feeling guilty about cooking lamb for Christmas and Boxing Day dinners because lambs provide wool. But a couple of knitters reminded me that there are good sheep and bad sheep so that the lamb that I ate was not the same as those that would have been sheared for wool. I felt better then. Isn’t that funny? I feel ok about eating crappy meat but I feel really bad about eating wool-worthy meat.
Lynette reminded me that some time yesterday or today was/is our 2nd blogiversary. We’ve enjoyed meeting lots of people and making lots of friends through our blog this past year. We hope that everyone has a happy and healthy New Year!
