Broken Needle and The Bulls

Lynette: First an update. I found my magazine. I don’t remember doing this, but apparently I must’ve taken it to the basement to put away with my other knitting books and set it aside.  I set it on top of my file cabinet which lie flush with the top and I couldn’t see it.  Since it was too late to start the kimono jacket, I resigned myself to donating  cash and decided to make the jacket later.  The upside of this story is that I didn’t have to put my current project aside to maniacally work on it.

Dsc07301_1A few weeks ago while I was working on a poncho for my niece, I broke one of my Brittany needles by accidentally stepping on it.  Yikes! I emailed the Brittany Needle company and reported my broken needle.  I told them I was in the middle of a project and would mail the broken needle to them.  Yes, I made it sound like an emergency. And no, I didn’t tell them how I broke it.  I received an email from them yesterday telling me to throw it, and they’d send me a replacement.  No questions asked.  What great customer service is that! That kind of thing makes my day.

Now I’m off to dentist appointments for the children and will hopefully make it home this afternoon to see the Bulls’ game.  Can you dig it? They’re in the playoffs again.  Woohoo!!  Charlie, the game starts at 2:30p.m on TNT. ;)
