The Heel Has Turned
Lynette: I had a fun night with my Oak Lawn SnB group last night. I worked on my sock which I thought I could finish up at Panera. Foolish me! I have several reasons to want at least one sock complete by this week. I’m teaching a sock knitting class in a few weeks at My Sister’s Knits and wanted to show my ’students’ a variety of sock styles. Nancy made a good point last night when she said that it is a sock knitting class – not socks. So there! I’ll have one complete. My goal is to finish another sock using worsted weight yarn by Oct. 8th. I know my goals are high, but I think I can do it.
We had two new women who showed up and joined us, which was also a lot of fun. Suzanne finished her Shelridge Farms poncho and trimmed it in Crystal Place cotton chenille, and Nancy brought her needle felted watermelon again so I can take a few perspective photos. Last time I took a picture of it, everyone thought that it was full-sized.
As I was getting in the car to go to Panera, I looked up at the sky and noticed the dark, gray stratus clouds. Here’s my feeble attempt to capture them with my PDA. Can we all say I need a nice new camera?
Well, today is Thursday and I’m going to Loopy Yarns during lunch (around noon) if anyone wants to join me. Please stop by Susan’s blog and help her unload some of her stash.
