Monica: It was time for my monthly pedicure so we all headed off to the beach yesterday so I could get my feet sloughed off by the sand.

Before that we went to the racetrack in Del Mar.

We only lost $20! Look at this pretty and unusual flower growing near the track entrance.

I didn’t knit at the racetrack because I needed to give my hands a break from the evil sweater. But I’m very close to being done with that piece and the rest of the sweater is stockinette so I’m actually looking forward to that.
