While Lynette is Having Computer Problems
Monica: I’ll do my best to keep you entertained. Her computer keeps crashing so she needs to get it fixed. Sorry I don’t have any cute puppy pictures.
I used to be a monogamous knitter. I would knit away on one project at a time and not start another one until I was completely done. This would force me to finish immediately because I knew that I could start another project afterwards. Nowadays I have a minimum of 2 projects going but usually more like 3. Sometimes it bothers me to have so many going but there are some situations where I don’t think I could knit a sweater so I work on a sock. So here’s the line-up:
1. Lace Blouse from Romantic Style. I wanted a break from sock knitting so I picked a sweater project that uses size 2 needles. I used size 1 for the ribbing. At least it’s not a sock.
2. Eyelet Cardi from Blue Sky Alpacas. I wanted to help Lynette out by “relieving her of some vintage Cotton Ease from her stash so she can make room for the new stuff. ” (Her words!) She was supposed to send me a different shade of blue but ended up sending me this color so I’m making this cardi for her instead.
3. Garter Rib Socks. Most of my friends know that I do not like white in my sock yarn–especially in hand dyed. But for some reason when I was in a yarn shop in Las Vegas I saw this yarn and I had to have it. When I started knitting it I didn’t like the combination of colors at all but I thought I would eventually get used to it. I was just about to rip because I didn’t like it but my sister-in-law saw them and thought the colors were fun. So problem solved…she’s getting them. It’s not exactly white in this picture but more like off-white.
4. Various garter squares for Laura’s project. I only have one done and even though she needs a lot I think she’s getting a lot every day so I should go knit now!
