Baby Gifts

Monica: I love making baby gifts because they are quick to knit and the results are usually cute. I’m not bragging about my knitting skills because all I do is follow a pattern. One of the baby items that I’ve been wanting to make ever since I started seeing them on blogs have been these booties:

Pattern: Saartje’s Booties (PDF file)
Yarn: Tahki Cotton Classic in pink and unknown yellow yarn

These match the Chicken Viking Hat. And I made another Trellis sweater:

Pattern: Trellis
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Candy Blue

I’m calling this the “I hope you’re not insulted that I knit a chicken hat for your baby so I made you a pretty cardi too!” sweater. I really like this pattern because it’s interesting to knit and I tend to knit those types of projects faster than the stockinette stitch ones. It’s also a great use for Cotton Ease which I seem to have a lot of…hmm…I wonder how that happened?

Remember these socks? The pattern is available here. I tried my best to make sure there aren’t any errors but if there are any please let me know.
