Everyone’s a Critic

Monica: That’s Buddy, Inspector #5, doing his job on my latest purse. He thinks there are parts that need tweaking and he doesn’t want to look at it anymore until I fix it.

This is the Amy Butler Frenchy Bag–what you can see of it. I used more rooster fabric -Gail gave me enough fabric to make many many more bags. I’m not complaining because it’s good practice fabric. Here’s another bag I made the other day when Buddy wasn’t around to do the inspection.

You can see the exterior looks great but the interior needs work. I used quilting cotton fabric for this instead of the heavier home decorator weight fabric that the rooster fabric is so I had to use interfacing. The resulting layers were too thick for my sewing machine and parts had to be hand sewn to reinforce it. Thanks to the knitting AND sewing expert in my group.
