Pattern: I made one up
Yarn: Patons Shetland Chunky

Monica: I finished this one before the craft show but it didn’t dry in time so I didn’t put it up for sale. No one bought any of the other hats I made anyway so I doubt this one would’ve sold. It was a small craft show and we didn’t get a lot of business and there were so many other knitted and crocheted items for sale.

I’m glad I didn’t work really hard at making stuff that didn’t sell. I sold 5 of the 10 pouches I made which I’m happy about.

And I got a new hat out of it! This one is a little shorter than I normally wear them but I like it. So while I had some time sitting around at the craft show I started Mom’s hat.

I made Mom a Koolhaas last year but for some reason when both of us wear it, the hat rides up and our ears end up being uncovered and we end up with this weird pointy hat. My head is bigger than hers so I thought the hat was too small for me but her head is smaller than mine and it does the same thing on her. (Notice how I said that I made the hat for her but I also wear it??)

So when she saw my Mondo Cable Cap she wanted one exactly like mine. Same color and yarn. I said no but I’d make her one in a different color.

Normally I wouldn’t care about such things but Mom and I work in the same building. And we commute together. And we both have red coats. (Which I don’t wear as often as I used to.) So I drew the line at the same color hats.

Yes, I finished this hat today even though I started it yesterday because I had a lot of time to knit these past two days. I’m off to Vegas tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with Charlie and the puppers. Hopefully I’ll be able to post some pictures of FO’s taken in the sun.
