Simple Things Shawlette
Pattern: Simple Things by Mary-Heather Cogar
Yarn: Koigu KPPPM in P111

Monica: Yesterday, the one day I decide not to be lazy and take a picture of my finished projects outside, it rained and rained all day. As soon as I was done the sun went away and it got cloudy again. I headed to the airport later and didn’t run into any weather delays but Charlie said that it’s been pouring since I left.

Anyway, I liked knitting this little shawl. I received the yarn from a grab bag and I didn’t think I liked the colors but now that it’s all knit up I really like it. I knit a few more rows of stockinette in between the eyelet rows than what the pattern said so I could use up the yarn as much as possible. But the pattern does mention that you can easily change it up to suit your yarn. I’m still obsessed with knitting these little shawls and have many more planned.

Monica, it’s simply stunning! I’m a huge fan of these smaller scarfs too – so fun to knit and wear.

Thank you for what you said… it’s gotten easier to read the comments and while they make me sad they do bring comfort.

Monica: I love the colorway of this scarf. It reminds me of our summer sunsets here in the desert. Looks great on you too.

I can’t believe you have the patience to knit so many stockinette stitches…drives me round the bend.
