Whitby Socks

Pattern: Whitby from Knitting on the Road
Yarn: Mountain Colors Weavers Wool in Wilderness
Monica: I love these socks! The pattern was easy to memorize and the larger needles (size 2.75 mm) and fewer stitches made these socks a really quick knit for me.
Yesterday I took the skein of previously Kool Aid dyed red yarn here and re-dyed the skein. La sent me a bunch of Kool Aid last week so this time I used 7 packages instead of 4 that i used last time and poured lots of vinegar into the mixture. This resulted in a much darker red skein and the color didn’t bleed at all when I rinsed the skein. I think my work is done. I will probably turn that skein into some Twisted Flower socks.

Gorgeous socks! Really liking the colors in that yarn as well as the pattern. You are already ahead of me doing 52 pairs and you aren’t even trying! No fair

Beautiful, yet again! Have you ever sat down and tried to count the number of socks you’ve knitted? The number must be in the hundreds.
