Summer of Slacking

Pattern: RPM
Yarn: Sunshine Yarns Soft in Mistletoe

Monica: I finally finished one pair of socks since the SOS knitalong started. Why is it that it takes me longer to finish a pair of socks when I’m part of a knitalong than when I’m knitting them on my own? I made a few modifications to the pattern. I cast on 72 stitches instead of what the pattern called for and I reversed the spiral pattern on the second sock. Better cast on for the next pair! I’m woefully behind.

They look awesome! And don’t worry about being slow. I’ve only completed one sock for SOS. That’s right, only half of a pair.

Why does it take so long? I think many of us respond to pressure in similar ways – that is with a bit of rebellion against the expectation.

No matter. These look great against the backdrop of grey kitty :o )

I like what you did to your RPMs

I’ve only completed one sock for SOS, but I have lots of fun stuff on the needles, patterns, and yarn.

The colors on those socks look almost velvety on my screen but maybe that’s just Smokes transferring some softness.

I think I just looked at 2 pairs of gorgeous socks you’ve made!

Love the twisting spiral – and good for you for figuring out how to reverse it on the 2nd sock.
