Stitch N Pitch 2008

Lynette: On Wednesday, I joined some members from my knitting group and we spent the evening knitting at White Sox Park for Stitch N Pitch 2008. It was a perfect night. Not humid or muggy. Here are some of the people at my Oak Lawn Panera group – Anna (with her son and his friend), Lisa, Angie, Donna and Barbara along with my daughter and son (and their friends).

I arrived right after the game started and when I got near my seats, I saw the red hats immediately and knew I was among the knitters.

I saw a few faces I recognized in the crowd. Franklin came over to say hi, and of course take pictures. I didn’t get a picture of Vicky, but she provided us with the hats, as well as the owner from Three Bags Full.

Celebratory fireworks. It was great to end the night with a win! White Sox 5 – Detroit 1.

I guess this could be the end of the post for most of you. The rest of the pictures are for Nancy who didn’t make it this year. I took as many Jermaine Dye pictures as I could.

Here are two pictures of the field to show perspective of where we were sitting and how far I had to zoom in to get this shot.

Sorry for the blurry picture, Nancy. When I took the first picture, my daughter yelled out “Mom, what are you doing?” My reply: This is not for me dear. It’s for a friend.

If you all are still here, there are more pictures to be found on my Flickr page.

I know they took out some of the nosebleed seats, but the new Sox Park still freaks me out! So high and huge!
Lots of knitters and supporters in attendance. Looks like a good time.
